Sharon brings experience across HR consulting, leadership, coaching, people systems and business advisory. As the founder and lead voice, she helps shape the community’s direction, learning focus and practical approach.

The Purple Spot is for founders, leaders and managers in small and mid-sized businesses who are responsible for people decisions, but were never formally trained for the people side of business.
It is designed for capable people who are leading teams, managing staff, growing a business, handling people questions, improving ways of working, or trying to make better decisions without having an internal HR team beside them.
The community is global, with a practical Australia-friendly lens. Virtual events are planned to run at either 12 pm or 7 pm AEST to support members’ schedules. -
The Purple Spot is not designed for tertiary-trained HR professionals or people already working professionally in HR.
It is not designed for leaders in organisations who already have access to established HR teams, internal people systems or corporate learning functions.
The reason is simple: The Purple Spot exists for non-HR leaders who need a practical, plain-English space. -
Yes, but in a different way.
Consultants, advisors, fractional professionals, coaches, speakers and specialists in HR, talent acquisition, learning and development, workplace wellbeing or related fields may apply to contribute as a: guest speaker, ambassador, resource contributor, event facilitator, expert panel guest, or training provider.General community membership is reserved for non-HR founders, leaders and managers.

Yes. The Purple Spot is intentionally capped to protect the quality of the member experience.
This allows the community to remain focused, practical and relationship-led, rather than becoming an overwhelming content feed or generic networking group.
For the initial founding intake, places may be capped so the experience can be shaped carefully around the needs of early members.
The long-term community cap may be 500 members.

Founding members can join for AUD $29.95 per month, billed monthly. This founding rate is available during the first intake only.
After the founding intake closes, new members will join at the standard rate of AUD $49.95 per month, billed monthly.Prices include GST.

It is not a substitute for tailored HR, legal, payroll, workplace relations or employment advice.
When a member needs guidance about a specific workplace matter, employee issue, documentation concern, compliance question or business decision, tailored advisory support may be booked separately.
